The Archaeopteryx footlaunchable sailplane flown by Philippe Bernard broke apart during a second loop attempt.
Immediately after his lucky parachute landing Philippe blamed himself: “I came much too fast out of the first loop and accelerated even more for the second one and additionally pulled way too hard. I flew way too brutally beyond all limits. Like a child who plays with fire.”
